Description
In a combine commit, it is particularly difficult to know which snapshot the change comes from.
For example, on this commit, you need to :
- Click an view file in a new tab.
- Copy the text ‘For more information on fair use:’ from the diff and do a browser search in the file to find where the text is located.
- Go back up in the file and find the title of the document “Fair use policy”.
- Search the internet for “X community guidelines Fair use policy”, copy the link to the webpage
- Open the X declaration
- Find the url in the community guideline combine, count which document number it is in the combine; here it is 29.
- Open the commit again and find the corresponding 29th snapshot
I also note that the information displayed when hovering over the snapshot commit link can also help determine whether it is the correct commit, provided you know the URL.
Thanks to @Cli4d for bringing the problem to our attention.
