Hi! We've been using the OC relay exclusively now for a while and found a feature I have seen in other relays that is very useful but this one seems to lack.
Sometimes, RLV devices engage with the relay when they shouldn't, or remain engaged after they should. The classic example is when you walk up to an auto-closing cage and the door closes but doesn't quite get you inside. The RLV features of the relay then activate but the device is not in the proper configuration. This leads to having a list of restrictions that should not apply to the current situation but that won't clear unless the cage reaches its release trigger.
None of this is the relay's fault, but it can be fixed from within the relay.
Relays such as Satomi's Multi-relay, which has certainly been around for a while now, have a 'refresh' button that I have found works well for this situation.
From the accompanying manual notecard:
* Refresh: checks that every device restricting you is reachable. Restrictions from unreachable devices will be cleared.
I don't know how it does this, but it does seem to work well. I think this would be a valuable feature for the OC relay.
It should be placed in a menu and chat command that is accessible to the wearer at any time, even while restricted and locked since its purpose is to "debug" a lock that shouldn't be in place.
