Correct path format in windows

I am trying to configure the local claude installation but is not cleat what is the correct format for the path under windows.
C:\Users\user.local\bin\claude.exe is not correct - expected to start with /
/Users/user/.local/bin/claude.exe is not working ether

Any suggestions please?

Dear Andrew,

the path detection is bad, i know. V2.6.0 will have a much improved auto detection. And " expected to start with /" is complete nonsense - The slash is for unix-like path building. I am a Linux nerd :-)

Until than: Try where claude in a command prompt (cmd)
or Get-Command claude | Select-Object Source (power shell)

If you have installed it by npm, try npm list -g claude-code.

But I can't submit the configuration. Just do not accept the input

Well, that's... a real bug.
I just released V2.5.1 with a new providerConfigs.js to fix this and another annoying bug.

me again... the above is tested in win11 and working fine. but probably I hit another bug in win10.
the error message shows missing slash even the path is correctly entered

Phew... can you take a look into the .aiduino/ folder in your user directory?
There you should find a file named .aiduino-claudecode-path. Please compare the path written in the file. You can edit it by yourself, too.

I just uploaded a new fileManager.js, it can be a problem with the missing utf-8 encoding parameter with older Node.js versions in Windows 10. Please try: https://github.com/NikolaiRadke/AI.duino/archive/refs/heads/main.zip

I tried it but the error is the same. in .aiduino-claudecode-path the path looks like should be

Even I tried to use

C:\Users\andrew\\.local\bin\claude.exe 

but gives an error again, regardless that the error shows the correct path, the plugin do not work

Ah! Writing is not the problem!

I've had no idea, but with the help of Claude Opus, i hopefully found the solution:
Windows 10 with an old Node.js was unable to send a non normalized-path to the spawn()-function, so the file could not find claude.exe.

I just updated the repository, please give it a try. And can you please test it under Windows 11?
