Automatic repositioning ignores available space

Despite manually positioning content to fit into the available space, the site will always "correct" its position to an actually incorrect position, hiding content behind the slideout on the right, always demanding that the main content be centered as though the slideout did not exist. Having manual user-made corrections overridden by automatic changes is user-unfriendly.

Possible solutions:

1. Stop automatically repositioning content
2. Account for the presence of the slideout
