What's new for ONTAP Select

My partner has used it to setup ONTAP Select on Sure Linux with KVM. Here is Simon's feedback.

With the new licence keys for SUSE HA Extensions we have OTS deploying a Ontao node on SUSE Linux with KVM…
One item of concern is the requirement to deploy telnet-server TR-4613-ONTAP-Select-on-KVM-Product-Architecture-and-Best-Practices (page 10)– something that is on most Security Consultants no go list?
I’m not going to get the write up done before I go on leave – some of the packages are named differently ( I still can’t find pcs) so not sure if this would break on a multi host setup, the package management commands are different and the open vswitch setup was not the same.
We only have a single box in the lab – this of course isn’t deploying on the SUSE Virtualization or the Red Hat OpenShift virtualization platforms - where kubevirt is used rather than libvirt to control KVM/Qemu and K8S networking is used rather than Open vswitch.
It’s a good start and means we can do some testing of linking the SUSE virtualization Harvester appliance with trident and the filer node – when I get back – unless Joao has the time.
