Did a reboot of the computer, and am not seeing that corruption any more. Mind you its night-time here (AUS) but in the morning I will check if all is good. |

motion is running here on a dedicated ubuntu 24.04 test machine with a 12-core i5 CPU and 16GB RAM.
My camera1 is a Reolink RLC-810A POE. When I view the camera stream directly via its web interface, all is normal.
I have set motion to record videos when triggered by movement.
When I look at saved video files, most have sporadic corruption. An example screenshot is attached. There are two sorts of corruption shown - one is a swirling patch of colour as at top right, the other is a flat grey patch. The size and location of these patches varies as the video plays. These effects can occur independently or together. I can't imagine what, if any, settings need changing to resolve this.
Before I go poking around in settings can I ask if these symptoms sound familiar to anyone?
