TrueHD on AndroidTV/FireTV?

What's up with TrueHD playback on Android/FireTV? I know the desktop app has a setting to enable it, but i can't seem to figure out how to get it working on AndroidTV

Dolby Vision and HDR10+ playback, DTS:X/MA passthrough all work on the native androidTV app on my TCL QM7, which I confirmed does support TrueHD passthrough (it supports basically everything, as well as my AVR), but TrueHD 7.1/Atmos will not work no matter what I try. 5.1/atmos does play back, but anything with TrueHD 7.1 falls back to DD Surround, according to my AVR.

Been trying out Moonfin after using native Jellyfin client, Kodi, and Wholphin. I've been trying to find excuses to take my FireTV and kodi w/ the buggy jellyfin plugin out of the equation, and Moonfin seems to be the closest app to achieving this goal that actually has a good interface and works well (great work so far btw, this is one of the best jellyfin players i've used).

Any help would be appreciated.
