README.md instructions misbehaving

The README.md instructions produces warnings and a misbehaving website.
Below is an account of what is seen.

1. After running the npm run develop this following issue occurs after moving around with the mouse over models

2. Model pages don't load in the website
'Preparing requested page' is shown in the lower left hand site of the webpage but nothing updates.

3. The 'npm install --legacy-peer-deps` produces
