Turns out there has been a lot of work on that already:

I have forked the repo and started structuring the 10k lines of Python into modules, which is not too trivial:
https://github.com/orangecms/MEAnalyzer/tree/refactor

It will be quite some work to port this, so let's get together and see if we can at least get the first rough bits done, like the FPT and FTPR headers for example, which show the main contents of the image. :)

Sure. Got quite a bit of golang me parsing code already. Maybe we can develop those in parallel and test against each other for bugs :3
