Is there an existing issue for this?
Midnight Commander version and build configuration
Operating system
Is this issue reproducible using the latest version of Midnight Commander?
How to reproduce
If the skin file uses an alias for [editor] / _default_'s background color, rather than specifying the color directly, syntax highlighting (e.g. editing a .c file) looks terrible.
At any text that uses a foreground color due to syntax highlighting, the terminal's background color peeks through instead of using the editor's default background colors.
It affects many skins.
