Endless route calculation not interruptable

Describe the bug

It may happen that route calculation (or probably waiting for result of calculation) does not end and is not interruptable, rendering QMS not usable any more. Pressing Cancel button does not interrupt calculation, only user interaction still possible is to move calculation window Please wait... on screen around.
There is no way out but to kill QMS.
Correction: Pressing QMapShack -> About QMapShack displays About window. After closing About window, deadlock is over and we are back in track creation, allowing to set next track point.

Observed with router BRouter on platform macOS.

What have you done to circle down the problem?

Never noticed issue on platforms Linux and Windows. Therefore, it might be a macOS problem.

To Reproduce

Not reproducible, but sometimes happens while creating a track.

Expected behavior

At least, calculation should be interruptable by Cancel button.

This is how to reproduce (on macOS):

1. Start creating track with local BRouter and automatic routing switched on
2. Set track point A
3. After setting next track point B do not wait for BRouter's reply and do not wait for route from A to B according to BRouter's reply is getting drawn
4. Before route from A to B according to BRouter's reply is drawn, immediataley try to set next track point C.
5. Above issue is highly likely to occur, time for route calculation never ends, Cancel button does not work.
   If issue does not occur, continue repeating points 2 to 4.

I must admit, my environment is far away from being performant and calculation of even short track segments takes an amount of time. So it seems to be a race condition between BRouter's reply and setting track subsequent track points.

How to reproduce:
Start track creation with local BRouter
Using left-click on map set subsequent track points as quick as possible without waiting for BRouter's reply
Then right-click -> Crash!
Traceback is not always the same but always IGisLine::subpt_t is involved.

Current Mapsforge-for-QMapShack GUI offers customization options that help for easily testing different scenarios:

This is independent from whether using Mapsforge maps or not.

Among these options is a hidden one to run QMS wih debugger: enter debug into Additional commandline parameters field.
On platform Linux, QMS gets started with GNU debugger gdb,
on platform Windows, QMS gets started with windbg debugger %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\WindowsApps\WinDbgX.exe, which must be installed from Microsoft Store:

Tested modified CRouterBRouter.{cpp|h} on platform Windows -> so far no crash.

Beside of not crashing, I like very much that each clicked track point gets processed by BRouter. Screenshot does not show straight connection lines between points any more, caused by firing new track points to fast. These straight connection lines have been annoying, because I was forced to undo track points to eliminate unwanted connections before creating new ones.

What I dislike: BRouter output console constantly shows bind errors "Address already in use" ->irritating.
Perhaps QMS code can test itself if address is still in use before sending a new request to BRouter?

Good news. "Address already in use" was resulting from a BRouter (java) process that remained after a crash and was still alive.
This crash surviving process served all BRouter requests therefore routing seemed ok beside from bind errors.
QMS could not successfully start a new BRouter server but nevertheless accepted results from previous one.

After killing undead server, no more errors in BRouter console 👍 .
