In the 'Add phase' dialog, each of the patterns has an 'i' icon which links to help about the the relevant pattern.
Howvever, clicking the link for the 'i' icon for 'New empty phase' does not show anything.
If I add a 'New empty phase' and hover the mouse over the phse, a menu is offered with an option "Read about pattern 'Phase'". this opens the url

which returns a 404 not found error.
