Helicon is a Python toolkit for simulating plasma detachment and thrust
generation in magnetic nozzle thrusters. It combines GPU-accelerated
Biot-Savart field computation (via MLX on Apple Silicon), WarpX PIC
integration, analytical pre-screening models, Bayesian coil optimization,
and Sobol sensitivity analysis. Validated against published experimental
data from the VASIMR VX-200 and theoretical predictions from resistive
detachment theory (Moses 1991, Dimov 2005).
