[SplatHeX] Is unlocking the Japan exclusive gear in Splatoon 2 likely to lead to a ban?

I've read stories about other people doing this in the past and not getting banned, but I'm not sure how truthful that is - would unlocking something like the Brown FA-11 Bomber be likely to lead to a ban?

Pretty sure it will as that gear requires additional dlc data on your switch as well
