# Creating a Microsoft Azure Pass Subscription

> [!alert] Please note that **Azure Passes** are designed to be used for the duration of the class and not for post class training. Please create and use a new Microsoft Live ID email account for your redemption. Do not redeem against your existing work/school email. For post class training, please redeem an Azure Trial here: [https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/free/](https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/free/). If your Azure Subscription is disabled during the class duration, please reach out to Support.

> [!NOTE] You will need to redeem your Azure Pass once per Course. If you have already created an Azure Pass subscription, you can skip this section by clicking **Next >** below to continue.

Creating an Azure Pass subscription is a two step process.

1. Redeem your Azure Pass Promo Code
1. Activate your subscription
1. Please create and use a New Microsoft Live ID email account for your redemption. Do not redeem against your existing work/school email.

## Step 1: Redeeming a Microsoft Azure Pass Promo Code:

1. Open a browser and navigate to: +++https://www.microsoftazurepass.com/+++

    > [!KNOWLEDGE] It is recommended you close all browsers and open a new In-Private Browser session. Other log-ins can persist and cause errors during the activation step.

1. Click the start button to get started.

1. Enter your account login information and select “Sign In”.

1. Click “Confirm” if the correct email address is listed.

1. Enter your promo code +++@lab.CloudCredential(PromoCode).PromoCode+++ in the Promo code box and click “Claim Promo Code”.

1. It may take up to 5 minutes to process the redemption.

## Step 2: Activate your subscription:

1. When the redemption process is completed, it will redirect to the sign up page.

1. Enter your account information and click “Next”.

1. Click the agreement check box and click the Sign up button.

1. Enter your account information and click “Submit”.

1. It may take a few minutes to process the request.

1. Your subscription is ready.
