Unfortunately the installtion failed with the new release.

$ pip install https://github.com/KittenML/KittenTTS/releases/download/0.8/kittentts-0.8.0-py3-none-any.whl
error: Failed to install: kittentts-0.8.0-py3-none-any.whl (kittentts==0.8.0 (from https://github.com/KittenML/KittenTTS/releases/download/0.8/kittentts-0.8.0-py3-none-any.whl))

I just ran into this myself and came here to log an issue. Than you @mtaschenberger for reporting it!

Hey yeah this most likely because the versioning in pyproject.toml is stated as 0.1.0

Just sent a pull request, but if you want to use before it is updated and patched in the release would just recommend cloning the main github
