T598 xbox version

Hi,

I have the T598 xbox / pc version.
Here is the id of my version.

I created a new branch, t598 with the ID you provided, please git checkout t598, install, and report back what happens, including any messages printed to dmesg. If we're lucky the wheel might come alive immediately, but there's a nonzero chance you may have to put in some legwork unfortunately. I suppose we'll cross that bridge when we get to it, though.

This line would indicate that it's being picked up by the xpad module and not this module, see #171 (comment) for a fix.

If possible can the PlayStation version also be added?
(The box my T958 came in had playstation branding so i assume it is the playstation version)

@ShyAssassin The ID of b696 would indicate that it should already 'work', albeit being treated as a T248. Have you already tried installing the driver? What does dmesg say when you plug in the wheel?

@lewelby31 The dmesg log would point towards the driver (or the t598 branch) not being installed properly. Please post all the commands, including their output, that you used to install the driver.

Just tried it out and everything seems to work it is interesting that my T598 has the same ID as a T248 though.

@ShyAssassin Yeah, newer Thrustmaster wheels seem to share the same ID and name, Thrustmaster Advance Racer. The structure of this driver was chosen before I knew this, and I assumed that all wheels would have a unique ID, hence the kind of awkward name confusion. I've been trying to figure out a way to differentiate wheels based on some way that isn't just the USB ID, but with limited success so far, see #143 (comment) for example. I only have a T248 to test with at the moment, so I'm fully reliant on other people agreeing to test things out.

@lewelby31 I would like to see the git commands you ran as well, just to see that the correct branch is selected. Either way, the error message says a second version of the driver cannot be installed, so in turn the modifications in the t598 branch are not installed. I would suggest that you first uninstall the currently installed version with sudo dkms remove --all hid-tmff2/0.82 and then you do the manual install method, make && sudo make install, as there's a possibility that we may have to try out a number of different modifications, which is where the manual installation is a bit easier to work with.

I deleted the comment with the attached file, as it didn't really include anything relevant and seemed to show some network information. I guess I should've specified that I was mainly interested in the text that comes up when you plug in the wheel, which you should be able to see easier by first running sudo dmesg -w and then plugging the wheel in.

The second comment is more what I'm after, but is there anything after the bit you posted? I'm looking for something that says tmff, which would be the name of this driver. The screen coming on is interesting, I suppose, but this driver doesn't handle the screen at the moment so I'm not entirely sure why that would be.
