App cannot perfectly loop video uploaded

I uploaded a loop video, but there’s an obvious pause when it restarts. I’m wondering if this is a technical limitation or just an issue with my computer. MacOS Tahoe 26.0

Same here, it worked smoothly for a few weeks, but after a (Mac Mini) restart, there is an annoying short black flicker when the background movie restarts. Mac OS Sequoia 15.7.1 (but it started on 15.6, I was hoping the updates help but they didn't).
Restarts didn't help unfortunately....

We use the built in macOS player, it used to work perfectly as long as you only had one video. I'll try and check if anything changed. Are you both using Intel or ARM ?

I got the same issue, also while playing back just 1 video on loop. I'm on ARM FWIW.

Tiny update, I can confirm something broke in recent macOS versions. I tried this looping video playing on two screens (M1 MacStudio here) : https://pixabay.com/videos/tunnel-star-neon-visual-4k-uhd-64812/

Interestingly, it's not 100%, sometimes there's no flash, and not on both screens at once (often either/or). My guess is it's a bug in AVPlayer. I don't have a short term solution but I'm looking at VLCKit to maybe replace it as an option.

Found a workaround for the Tahoe bug, it will be in next alpha later this week.

This has been fixed for a while in the latest alphas, I forgot to update here, you will need to reconfigure stuff :

Use the new "My videos" panel in options (second icon bottom left) to add your video, then in the main popover, select Sources > My videos

With only one video it will perfect loop again.
