Heartopia piano playing wrong keys

What happened?

I tried this out to compare to DodoMusic, but so far DodoMusic is a clear winner. For the same midi, this software played a lot of wrong keys and ruined the song, while Dodo played it beautifully.
I'm not sure what would be the difference, but if the Heartopia autoplay could be fixed it would sound great.
I tried swapping my keyboard to qwerty and change the octave but it didn't fix anything. That's cool tho because if this software works I wouldn't have to swap to qwerty anymore when playing 'cause it seems it doesn't affect the playback unlike Dodo.

Hi, can I ask which piano mode are you using? 37-key / 22-key /15-key?

I think this is a duplicate of #9

I don’t have a background in music theory, so assistance in verifying or correcting the note mappings would be greatly appreciated. If you’re familiar with the correct configurations, please feel free to open an issue, add a comment or submit a pull request. 💖

Hi, I tested the latest build using my MIDI files and it sounds correct on my end, at least based on what I can hear.

Could you confirm if we are using the same settings for Heartopia and Auto MIDI Player?

In the meantime, you can try setting Transpose to Up. It may help catch notes that do not match the available range of the Heartopia piano. You can also adjust the tracks in the Tracks view. Tracks like drums may interfere with playback since they repeatedly trigger notes and can cover the main melody.

If possible, please attach the MIDI file so I can test it on my side. GitHub does not support uploading .mid files in issues. You can rename the file extension to .txt first, then drag and drop it into the text box to attach it. I can rename it back to .mid on my side to test it.

Hmm, I don't remember which midi it was, I didn't get the same issue when trying today. I'll try more midi and I'll post one if it happens again
