Hi @Sarvesh-Mishra1981 , nice demo with Computer Vision! The Block Library issue is mainly reserved to be faced along GSoC-2026 project, by the selected candidate. So I would suggest you develop with VisualCircuit other robotics-related applications. For instance using drones (as in this video, any other robot in Gazebo simulator, or using nested blocks (as in this video. Connecting VisualCircuit blocks with ROS topics from simulated robots is a good point to get familiar with the basecode of VisualCircuit. Cheers! |

Hi JdeRobot Team, I am Varnika Mishra, a 2nd-year CSE student and Lead Researcher at the Advanced Academic Center (AAC). I am writing to express my strong interest in contributing to Project #6: VisualCircuit: Improving Functionality & Expanding the Block Library for GSoC 2026. I have successfully completed the full environment setup (Docker, ROS2, and Django) on my local machine. During my initial audit of the vision pipeline, I identified and resolved the root cause of Issue #211 (ColorFilter: OpenCV frame validation error). The crash was caused by a synchronization lag between the simulation initialization and the frame buffer. I have a verified solution ready to submit—it implements a robust validation gate to handle empty frames gracefully, ensuring systemic stability across the vision blocks. I haven't received an official assignment for Issue #211 yet. Could you please assign it to me? I am eager to submit my Pull Request and move forward with expanding the block library and improving the overall versatility of VisualCircuit. Best regards,

Hi JdeRobot Team!
I'm Sarvesh, undergraduate at IIT BHU with a strong interest in robotics and intelligent systems. Over the past few months, I’ve been actively contributing to the RoboticsAcademy repository, where I’ve had 4 PRs successfully merged. Recently, I started exploring VisualCircuit, as I’m very interested in contributing to it for GSoC this year.
I’ve completed setting up the VisualCircuit developer environment locally on my Mac and was genuinely impressed by how elegantly it abstracts away the complex setup involved in robotics pipelines like Human Detection and Edge Detection. It makes advanced robotics concepts far more accessible by eliminating environment-related friction. I also built and tested a few OpenCV-based pipelines natively to better understand the underlying workflow, and I recorded a short video of my local setup running successfully: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1W-GJnnv2kq-tgFWab8JJRlD2r9mQnAFf/view?usp=drive_link
I’ve been going through the GSoC Project #6 proposal regarding the expansion of the Block Library , and I would love to start contributing in this direction. Could you please suggest a good starting point among the current open issues or areas where help is most needed?
Looking forward to contributing!
