Render zipnerf?

Hi! I am training using a zipnerf implementation, will it ever be possible to load these trained models into your renderer?

Hey @antithing ! Currently I'm working on infrastructure & basic tooling. TurboNeRF uses a custom implementation of the "Instant Neural Graphics Primitives with a Multiresolution Hash Encoding" paper by Müller, et al.

This project's core NeRF algorithm will likely change soon as I move from basic features and get some time to work on the renderer. zip-NeRF is indeed a promising idea as it is compatible with the multiresolution hash encoding.

I'd like to promise compatibility with other NeRF renderers, but we are probably pretty far away from unified NeRF models (like jpeg or png but for NeRF). I know Volinga is working on a .nvol filetype specification that will hopefully come to fruition soon.

Maybe another approach would be to add some sort of NeRF converter that can retrain models in different schemes. Check this paper out: One is All: Bridging the Gap Between Neural Radiance Fields Architectures with Progressive Volume Distillation

For the time being, TurboNeRF files will have their own data layout and will generally only be interpretable by TurboNeRF.
