Add descriptions for Meeting Recordings

Problem statement

Currently the Meeting Recordings are uploaded to YouTube with no description. Soon a link will be included to the relevant page on the website covered in each meeting. We should also look to expand upon what we are sharing.

Proposed solution

Please come up with a summarizing paragraph for each session, to be included on YouTube as well as the dedicated webpage for Meeting Recordings. Maybe we create sub-pages with the recordings natively on the page (linked to YT). An expansion of this would be a simple list of instructions of how to follow along with the recorded session.

Scope and impact

Let's create a system that is likely to support a wider reach for different users who join in the future, or those who may choose to go 'back to the beginning' to ensure understanding.

If I get it right, the main difficulty with the ongoing YouTube meeting recordings is that they are all uploaded without descriptions. The solution suggested is to write a summary paragraph for every session that will be included on both YouTube and the Meeting Recordings page.

What do you plan to use as the storage mechanism for the video descriptions? Warehouse them straight in the website's database, operate them as markdown files in the repository, or incorporate them into a certain CMS framework so that there is uniformity between YouTube and the Meeting Recordings webpage?

I don’t think a database is needed here. This is directly tied to DA activities after each session, where summaries and descriptions would be added at the same time as new recordings.

A lightweight approach, such as managing the content alongside session updates (for example via Markdown), should be sufficient and keeps things simple and consistent.
