Hackathon format

We have yet to agree on the hackathon format. Some outstanding questions are:

• Whether we should do in on consecutive days or separated over a few weeks
• How do we group people into teams

It'd be great if people can share their thoughts based on their personal experience or share any relevant info for reference.
