Each HCA bionetwork has set up a list of fields biologically relevant for their organ of interest, referred to as tier 2 metadata.
When we started adding tier 2 to the schema we decided to add a new property - bionetworks to record which bionetwork had requested each field, and potentially use this as basis for creating organ tailored templates.
On the Gut tier 2 PR Hannes raised the following point
Not for this PR, but this "meta property" will be difficult to maintain. Situations like this are typically handled with a meta schema.
