AustinFelt made the first and original version of BlockBattles as seen in his short-form TikTok content. The game wasn't manually balanced and was developed by Person98, who later continued it. It was abandoned by AustinFelt in 2023 and seems to have been a quite large exit scam with over 1,000$ in revenue per month. There are many resources pointing to the original rules, including the TikTok videos, official text-files, community-made documentation, etc.
