Debug option build

I used the debug option to build tsmp2 from https://github.com/HPSCTerrSys/TSMP2

1. master, default compiler & env --> FAILED to build
   command: ./build_tsmp2.sh --eCLM --PARFLOW --build_type DEBUG
   Files here: /p/scratch/cslts/gonzalez5/TSMP2/JURECA_tests/TSMP2_S2025_master/bld

2. stages-2025 branch, default compiler & env --> FAILED to build
   command: ./build_tsmp2.sh --eCLM --PARFLOW --build_type DEBUG
   Files here: /p/scratch/cslts/gonzalez5/TSMP2/JURECA_tests/TSMP2_S2025/bld/JURECADC_2025_INTEL_eCLM-ParFlow

3. stages-2025 branch with GNU compiler --> build COMPLETED
   command: ./build_tsmp2.sh --eCLM --PARFLOW --build_type DEBUG --compiler gnu
   Files here: /p/scratch/cslts/gonzalez5/TSMP2/JURECA_tests/TSMP2_S2025/bld/JURECADC_2025_GNU_eCLM-ParFlow

DEBUG builds still doesn't work on IntelLLVM. I believe #48 has this same issue.
