Collision Detection Help

Our fruit seems to be slicing correctly when struck from the top or left but seems to have an area below and to the right that triggers slicing without coming into contact with the drawn shape. Our mouseCollide Method is on line 127. Do you have any ideas why this might be? @jteresco.

I think the problem comes from the fact you have logic for this being done in paintComponent. That might mean you are repainting and doing that computation when the mouse is no longer where it was when the paint event was triggered. I'd suggest that the check for collisions should be made in mouseDragged.
