After updating the version on 2 different distributions archlinux and alt regular, the quake icon in the tray changed and the ability to call the context menu in the tray disappeared, how can this be fixed? and how can I transfer the current guake settings to another PC? Are they stored somewhere in a file or can only dump be used?
version 3.10 works after downgrade version 3.10.1 with a problem

Regarding your question about transferring settings: Guake stores its configuration in dconf. You can export your current settings to a file using the terminal:
dconf dump /apps/guake/ > guake_settings.ini

Then, transfer that .ini file to your new PC and load it using:
dconf load /apps/guake/ < guake_settings.ini

As for the system tray icon and context menu bug you are experiencing in 3.10.1, I would love to look into this and see if I can track down the regression!

Could a maintainer please assign this issue to me? I'll start digging into the commits between 3.10.0 and 3.10.1 to see where the tray behavior changed.

I was interested in this for the purpose of adding restoration of settings to a bash script to configure a new system, I thought there was a simpler option with simply copying the settings file, I will look into it further

Hey @als-creator, ,glad to hear the dconf export worked out for you! And you’re totally right about the path—newer versions of Guake shifted over to /org/guake/, so using that in your automation script is definitely the way to go. Good catch!
don't worry about the "assign" thing—you don't need to do anything or create an issue on a fork at all.
