The current (20221221) user interface is very limited (one button and one LED) and I do not even remember how it works after six months of non use.

A clear and concise description of what you want to happen.
Change from the Arduino UNO controller to an ESP32 for wireless user interface on a smart phone.
There should be a log in for a user with full control and telemetery and an open interface for non users to observe the telemetery status only.
Describe alternatives you've considered

An issue has been created for an improved UI using something like the GPAD and a rotary encoder. This solution would not require a change from the Arduino UNO but has not been fully checked out.
