Editor events pause or pile up when multiple people are typing

When two editors are typing at the same time it one editor seems to either lose or pile up key press events (keys stop showing and then will be strung together very quickly a couple seconds later).

Likely this is because the frame rate dips low enough to mess with the process that process key presses.
