Client to Daemon configuration of settings file

At the moment the settings.ini file of the daemon is written manually by the user.
We could enhance the daemon and the client so that the client can "see" the content of the settings.ini file and modify it.

This is a quality-of-life kind of enhancement which is open for contributors :)
