Im sorry if this isn't intended to be tech support for boomers but I have spent many hours alongside chat gpt tying to get this to work.

Has anyone gotten this work with qbittorrent 4.6.x?
I see now the issue is almost certainly my qbitorrent and sonarr versions. sorry. i may revert back to an older qbit version.

• For quite a while it would say it couldnt connect to qbittorrent at the specified address
• I finally got it to...at least say something else but it seems that there is a fundamental issue communicating with qbittorrent
• all apps are installed via docker on a ubuntu server running casaOS(ive been assured thats not really relevant)
• all apps are on the same network"bridge"

I am running Sonarr v4 and qBittorrent 4.6.2 and am having no issues. Can you share your qBittorrent config section? If they're on the same bridge then using the below should work. Ensure you have configured a username and password and they are correct. You should always get a version value in the 3rd log line

I think modifying the lines as you suggested made no difference. it seems very inconsistent as to when it will recognize qbittorents version.

modifying the lines was not reflected in the web UI, something i was expecting but might be normal.

Ok, so your issue now is the pathing to the sonarr.db file. Please make sure that qbitrr has the correct path configured and can read the file

Try using this config and ensure that the API key for sonarr is taken from Sonarr, and the API key for Radarr is taken from Radarr as I noticed you're using the same API key for both which I highly doubt is the case

Kindly note that if suing the latest radarr develop branch, there is currently a bug from radarr that's causing qBitrr to crash, but the error is different that the one you're getting, check your API keys

I have tried so many different combinations of API keys, urls, and .db locations that sometimes i forget to edit them back to what they "should" be.

anyway i tried the config you sent and only substituted the existing radarr API key for the correct one. got what looks like a familiar log below. thank you for the help. I think i have to cut my losses soon though. the amount of time this program will save has long been exceeded by time to install for me.

Sorry to hear but this is clearly to do with your specific instances and the API keys used

I dont see how. I recently set up recyclarr which requires all of the same information, but no .DB files. it went smoothly first try. also all of the containers themselves are connected via their API keys with no issues. I'm not saying you are wrong but it doesn't seem that way to me. tried with both sonarr v3 and v4.

Why not leave this up in case others have the same issue? so that they can give up much sooner. or perhaps provide input

If you'd like to, update to the latest version and try again. There have been a lot of changes made and if you keep seeing the above error, then it's going to be related to your configs of the URL and APIKey fields. Please triple check these are valid for the instance you're trying to connect to
