What the essence of your feature request
If you look at latest release at the moment (v2.5.1), you can see README and custom archive with "clear" version of project, no packages, removed changes and etc., possibly, you can automate entire system by removing patterns, replacing symbolinks and etc. - all is required for such kind of system - is time and, code itself.
It must be a module of global post-release system (#296, #295, #293).
