                                            <p>I have been a pianist for about 12 years, and I enjoy writing primarily piano-driven music, occasionally using some other orchestral instruments, and I dabble <s>badly</s> in electric guitar. I’m also a pretty big music theory nerd, and most of what I know on that front I’ve taught myself.</p>

                                            <p>I spent 3 months living in California in immersive preparation for a 2-month long missions trip to Armenia. Among many other things, living for an extended period of time in a foreign culture forced me to reckon with the ways I was predisposed to think and showed me how much growing I still had to do as a person.</p>

                                        <p>Since middle school, I’ve volunteered at whatever church I was a part of, usually behind the scenes doing tech things, and I’ve trained a few others to do the same. I believe “giving back” is a virtue, but it's just as true that few things make me feel more alive than using my time and gifts for a cause I believe in.</p>
