Decide on ubuntu version for deployment

Several decision points:

• server or desktop?
• wait for 12.04 LTS (probably yes but we can test on 11.10 in the mean time)
• 32 bit or 64 bit or both

My idea is to do a 12.04 32 bit desktop for general distribution but perhaps keep a server version for our local testing purposes.

Also would be good to document workflow around creating the vagrant .box files using veewee.

Also may want to consider xubuntu/lubuntu or a cleaner/lighter weight alternative.
