Many of the MEI don't get extracted by jSymbolic

Need to try converting them to MIDI externally IF they fail jSymbolic extraction (but ONLY if they fail jSymbolic extraction)

• Does Music21 do MEI to MIDI conversion?
  • If they are not valied MEI, then it's fine if they fail extraction, but need to be able to deal with any valid MEI that jSymbolic can't parse (e.g. because it contains new MEI that wasn't around when Tristano wrote jMei2Midi)
  • If the converted file extracts, then the error log file should NOT include the original MEI file it comes from

Does Music21 in fact do MEI to MIDI conversion, and with the most recent versions of MEI? Have you successfully incorporated this conversion processing into your workflow in cases where a given MEI file cannot be parsed by jSymbolic? If not, then this issue should be reopened.
