Coordinate Grid: the grid fades out in distance much faster than axes

This is how it works now:

Note that on the top image, the grid lines are barely visible when they reach X axis, while previously they were fading out much further in distance.

Also, it would be better if thickness of major and minor grid lines can be controlled.
It would be better if both major and minor lines were the same color, but major lines were thicker.
