Joe suggested that adding some functionality inspired by https://arxiv.org/abs/2408.12026 - measuring average spectral energy as a proxy for temperature, might be a good idea.
Not sure what form this functionality would take, but perhaps something in the Spectrum class to measure the average spectral energy from the data and/or model would be good.
Then could construct/find a scaling relation between said average energy and temperature.
Strikes me that hardness ratio would be another possible proxy along these lines?
