Discord Build
Stable
Discord Version
stable 424965 (7bdf295)
Plugin Version
10.0.5 to 1.13.5
Steps To Reproduce
- update version on betterdiscord tab
- dragged old config.json in to update
- Favorited a random video to make it update
- Checked the config.json only for it to be blank as if I just installed favorite media
Describe the bug
After not using betterdiscord for a while I decided to try it out again, opened it up and updated to the newest version possible. I had previously removed the favorite media plugin from the folder directly and had it saved on my desktop so I dragged it back in to the plugins folder manually. reloaded discord and nothing showed up. All of my saved images, videos, and mp3s got deleted from the config.json after trying to make the config try to read the saved medias. As previously stated all the config.json just reverted to looking like a fresh installation of the favorite media plugin.

As of now, I have tried everything to recover the old config, but I was stupid and didn't make a backup, thinking it would just refresh and start working again like it always did. Unfortunately, that didn't happen, and I lost about 2 years of saved media. Although I know I should have probably made a backup before trying to do anything, I want to still send this report in so you could maybe add a function to your plugin directly to keep a backup if possible, so it doesn't happen to anyone else.
