Description
Hello, I thought about some significant changes that could boost the immersiveness of the game, and some fixes
(btw, I appreciate how much you spend your time doing this mod, from being boring on PC for me, now it's one of my most entertaining and fun games with this mod, making it be able to be played in VR. Oh yeah and I CAN'T WAIT FOR v1.2.0 )
**1. Manual ladder climbing **
You could make it so that when you approach a ladder, you need to physically put your hand on it, hold it, and lift yourself up, just as in real life. This is a bit janky because it would be challenging to implement, requiring a rework of the entire action.
For players who don't want this to be a feature, make it optional in the settings tab that you will provide in v1.2.0.
2. Jumping in real life = Jumping in the game
As of my knowledge of 1.1.9, the mechanic of Jumping in real life = Jumping in the game isn't implemented yet. So, if we have IRL Crouch = in-game Crouch, we could also have IRL Jump = in-game Jump. This wouldn't be hard to implement.
3. An improvement of the EnableHelmetVisor setting in VR
Currently, when the EnableHelmetVisor option in VR is enabled, your character's shadow leaves a BIG helmet shape at the head, 2x the actual player's head. This could be solved by disabling the shadow of the custom VR Helmet and leaving only the default character's shadow. This would improve immersion for those using the EnableHelmetVisor setting. At the moment, the shadow can only be seen by the player who has the setting enabled, making it a local problem only.
4. Polishing the Shovel/Stop Sign hit
The Shovel/Stop Sign implementation is extremely well done, but it has some minor problems. I've noticed that when I use snap turn, as I press it, my shovel acts as if I charged it, probably because the position of the shovel changes so drastically that the code registers it as charging and then hitting instantly. I don't know if this can be fixed, but I'm mentioning it here just for awareness.
When entering/leaving the facility with the shovel in hand, many times the shovel does an instant hit. It's a bit of a problem because, for example, when my crew stands in the door, and I leave or enter into them I instantly hit them for no reason. So, I'm forced to always keep in mind to switch the slot to not accidentally hit someone...
** + A little bug with the current Terminal **
The Terminal is extremely well made, but there is a bug where when you are currently landing with the ship, and you want to type something, you cannot control which key is highlighted. It just gets messy, and you need to wait until the ship has fully landed.
(Maybe if I can get a clip of this, I will add it below in the comments.)
