With all the upgrades that spectrum structures / features can get, (cinderhearth, pastel nodes, altar and fusion shrine, etc etc) i think the colour picker could also use with some upgrade slots. in the endgame, when one gets a fast pigment farm, it is PAINFULLY slow and with very little capacity. so i think upgrades for it would be great!! i.e. early-game upgrades like amethyst (more ink capacity), topaz, (one more slot for inserting pigments), and citrine (faster ink bottle consumption) mid-game ones like onyx, moonstone, resonance shards (?), with same functions as the earlier ones, just stronger, late-game ones with pure/raw bloodstone, azurite, and malachite, with more esoteric functions like more ink per bottle or a chance to not consume bottles, maybe one that gives ink bottles give a fraction of their ink value as another type of ink (for example every pigment bottle gives 5 points of random ink etcetc) but itd be nice to just have even stronger speed / capacity / pigment slot upgrades... (maybe also instead of just inserting materials you could spend a large amount of ink for upgrades?? with every colour having a specific upgrade that you can buy with them) and i think with the upcoming inclusion of ink nodes this will benefit both colour pickers and nodes themselves with faster throughput and more centralized systems... cheers!!
