The delivery service assigns the overall message timestamp to a data point with an invalid timestamp

This was deliberately coded in, but on reflection may not be the correct action.

If data point has a timestamp it probably means that data was not collected at the message time so giving the message timestamp is an error. It could be better to discard the data point.
