Plugin to allow execution of commands via sockets

Via @tsumaru720, it'd make integrating with DMDirc much easier if you could lob some commands at a local socket and have them executed.

For example, it'd enable a native script to set away or back when the screen lock or screensaver state changes.

I assume this will take commands in the same way the global window does - so we probably want a way to direct a command to a specific server somehow (eg not just /allservers)

Yeah, there should probably be a core command for that.

But I don't know what to call it, or how the servers should be specified... Ideas?

Pass, that's why I just made a note for now rather than anything specific \o

Server name/address or network name are no good as they could be duplicated, can't even do address+nickname as BNCs break that.

Could do some kind of hash of the server address + password and use that as a key - but that's not obvious or easy to find.

I've raised a separate issue regarding being able to specify individual servers, as this issue is probably resolvable just by being able to execute commands in the same way you would in a global window.
