synchronize current building instructions in `README.md` and the launcher patch

At present, following the Building instructions in our README, including the instruction to rename the repo, will cause the launcher patch from the `extras/` directory to break -- it relies on the package being named `min-devkit`. 

Since we are no longer delivering this devkit from the PM, we could consider removing or rethinking the project generator launch patch.
