Note: The standalone dedicated server app is currently only available on the experimental branch of the game since October 15, 2025. It runs headless.

Release of the Dedicated Server.

I confirm:

• that I have searched for an existing module request for this application.
• that the server is an official server distributed by the games publishers/developers.
• that the server is available to the general public.
• that the server can be run headless (without a GUI).
• I have already attempted to create a configuration myself using the configuration tool

Had a look in their discord, atm the server is not truly headless, it requires a GUI to start the game, so it's not a candidate for AMP, particularly not on Linux

Strange - when reading their blog (https://www.exorstudios.com/blog/rb-dedicated-server)

they explicitly offer 2 options, one with a UI and one completely headless, so see no reason why it wouldn't work for AMP?

A blog saying that the DS doesn't do graphics rendering (ah, yeah, that's what the purpose of a DS is...) doesn't change what I said

This is what running the DS currently presents the user:

A popup that requires the user to click a button to start the game is not a truly headless server, and as I said originally, is not a candidate for AMP

I stand corrected! They're still working on that part, but on Dec 12th they did say it's at least still being worked on:
