Auto remove elapsed reminders after setting like the auto remove deleted notes permanently setting

Hi there, thanks for the suggestion, but what do you mean with "elapsed notes"? Notes where the reminders are all elapsed?
I personally would not want any note that has elapsed reminders to be auto-deleted.
It sounds like you are probably using the notes more like calendar entries, where I can understand that you would want some auto delete afterwards, but actually if you think about calendar apps, they also dont delete an event just because it has passed.
But maybe I misunderstood your use-case?

Because default Reminders shows All. Elapsed reminders spam that view. Most don't care about a reminder from last week they want to see upcoming. An option to choose which of All/Elapsed/Upcoming Reminders view as default would help this.

But fundamentally there should be a setting to remove reminders after so many days.

If that is the reason for this ticket, then sure we can simply only include Reminders of notes that are not deleted/archived in the "Reminders" View.
It was not a conscious decision to include reminders of deleted notes in the "Reminders" View.
Also I agree usually you just want to check out the upcoming reminders, so we can make that the default, but without adding another setting for a default.

Elapsed reminder should not show in overview with line. It is not useful. Only future reminders should show in overview. Elapsed reminder should show only in Reminders.

Because we have to edit elapsed reminder in note to remove it from overview.

This is good but not enough. This way Reminders is better but elapsed will still show in overview.

I understand some people want a super minimalistic overview of the notes, but when it comes to UI changes I would like to take smaller steps between versions, since it happened a lot that Person A said "Please do A", the next version has A implemented, Person B says "Please remove A", and then we go in circles.
#925 greatly improves the Reminders view, so lets see how that feel for now, in future versions we can re-discuss hiding elapsed reminders in the notes overview, if its really that annoying.

They appear in the grid overview. Other apps you can dismiss easily and reminder goes away. With NotallyX reminders are very persistent everywhere. The grid overview is the weakest section of NotallyX. Discussion like #918 I hope will improve it.
