Video Link Implementation Summary ✅

What Was Implemented

The Vigint security system now automatically sends private video links instead of email attachments when security incidents are detected. Here's exactly what was added:

🎯 Core Functionality

1. Video Link Service (video_link_service.py)

  • Secure Upload: Videos uploaded to sparse-ai.com with API authentication
  • Private Links: Generates secure, token-based access URLs
  • Auto-Expiration: Links expire automatically (default: 48 hours)
  • File Integrity: SHA256 hash verification for uploaded videos
  • Error Handling: Graceful fallback when uploads fail

2. Enhanced Alert System (alerts.py)

  • Automatic Integration: Video upload happens automatically during alerts
  • French Email Template: Professional security alerts in French
  • Fallback Support: Still works if video upload fails
  • Metadata Inclusion: Rich incident data in video uploads

🚀 How It Works

Automatic Workflow

  1. AI Detection: System detects security incident in video frames
  2. Video Creation: Frames are automatically converted to MP4 video
  3. Secure Upload: Video uploaded to sparse-ai.com with metadata
  4. Link Generation: Private, expiring link created with secure token
  5. Email Alert: French security alert sent with video link (not attachment)
  6. Auto-Cleanup: Temporary files cleaned up automatically

  • No Size Limits: Videos can be any size (no 25MB email limit)

1. API Key Configuration

Set your sparse-ai.com API key in either:

  • Environment variable: SPARSE_AI_API_KEY=your-key-here
  • Config file: [SparseAI] api_key = your-key-here

2. Email Configuration (Already Working)
