When committing and pushing, no notifications sounds or spoken alerts are heard in VSCode.

I can confirm this, as when I committed changes or pushed to origin there was no sound or spoken alert, just the focus being changed.

Thanks for reporting this Shane, and thanks for confirming Alex. This is a VS Code configuration issue - notification sounds and audio cues are not enabled by default. The next revision of the documentation will include setup steps for enabling these in the pre-workshop guide.

In the meantime, here is what to do:

1. Open Settings (Ctrl+Comma), search for 'accessibility.signals' and enable the audio cues you want (diffLineModified, terminalCommandComplete, etc.)
2. Search for 'audioCues.enabled' and set to 'on' or 'auto'
3. For Git-specific notifications, check 'git.showPushSuccessNotification'
