Bored API endpoint no longer works in "Deploying a Back-end with Render"

While following the "Deploying a Back-end with Render" article and repository, the exercise currently fails when attempting to fetch an activity from the Bored API.

Details:

• The endpoint https://bored-api.appbrewery.com/activity no longer returns a valid random activity.
• The documented endpoint https://bored-api.appbrewery.com/random works as expected.
• Since Render uses Node.js 18+, the built-in Fetch API is available and works correctly.

Impact:

• The application returns "Unable to generate an activity from BoredAPI" even when the deployment steps are followed correctly.
• This can be confusing for learners, as the failure is unrelated to their code or deployment setup.

Suggested fix:

• Update the Bored API endpoint to /random.
• Clarify that Node.js 18+ provides a built-in Fetch API.
