With the sun-setting of CodeWithMe, we think CodeTogether is a viable alternative. However, there are many bugs and it seems to have been abandoned.

The last release was 2 years ago.

CodeTogether is more than still alive -- it's exploding with new features at CodeTogether.com. Additionally, you can still use the original Eclipse collaboration magic for free from the Eclipse Marketplace. However, all IDEs (yes, IntelliJ) are supported for cross collaboration (and much more). Feature details are on the CodeTogether website.
